Pastor Julian LaMie hails from Woodworth, IL, a rural community roughly an hour south of Beecher. He was raised in the church and attended Lutheran schools from grade school through college and seminary.

While working on his BA in theology and theological languages from Concordia University Chicago, Julian did a study-abroad program at the Westfield House of Theological Studies in Cambridge, England. It was there that he met Juliana, his wife. Juliana is originally from Brazil, but spent half of her life in England.

Julian returned to Westfield House a second time in 2015 for a year of studies. Julian finished his MDiv from Concordia Seminary St. Louis in 2019. Julian and Juliana have two children. Julian enjoys traveling, and is working on learning Portuguese in his spare time.
